The trial started with the lawyers from two opposite position presenting their opening statement. To me position #2 had more convincing opening statement then position #1. Not only position #2 lawyer had a organized and clear opinion they also had a gestures and movements that helped to made their speech even more concrete and clear. After the opening statement the first witness was up which was the Dragons. I think the Dragon has failed to explain “Go seek our gold and sit on it” (page 560. The dragon has contradicted its own theory of “The world and everything in it is unplanned accident, existence is meaningless; the past is irrelevant; nothing matters.” So for the first attack I think position #2 had earned some points. The next witness was Grendel from position #1. For second witness I think the witness Grendel did a good job to defend their philosophy. I think for the second witness there wasn’t enough time to do cross-examination. The third witness was from the position #2 (Ork). Some of the question that was presented by position #1 lawyer was “Why were you blind? Do you know the reason why? Was it an unplanned accident?” Questions like these proved the “World is full of unplanned accidents.”
Overall, I think position two did better in supporting their opinions on negating the idea of “The world and everything in it is unplanned accident, existence is meaningless; the past is irrelevant; nothing matters.” Therefore I think position #2 had won.
